Tudor Griffiths Group is a family-owned business established in 1874 by William Griffiths. Today, they are one of the UK’s leading independent businesses in the supply of construction materials and building supplies, ready-mixed concrete, skip hire, waste management and recycling.

They trade out of 30 different premises across North and Mid Wales, the West Midlands and the North West. In recent years, Tudor Griffiths Group are more aware of the need to continually improve and enhance the operations of the business, so that future generations of their family can maintain the business as market leaders for the long term.

Project background
Tudor Griffiths had been running on highly bespoke legacy systems, the integration between sales, purchase and general ledgers were limited. The finance department oversees four companies within the group. It was difficult for the team to view and understand customer and supplier accounts. They began to do research to find a new finance system that could improve their situation.

The solution
K3 initially met with Tudor Griffiths in July 2014. It was immediately apparent that Sage Enterprise Management solution would be a better fit for the business than Sage 200. Sage Enterprise Management caters for multi-company requirements more effectively than Sage 200, so switching between accounts for different companies within the same group is very easy. After a demonstration of Sage Enterprise Management John Seaward and the Tudor Griffiths team were hugely impressed with the K3 approach and the Sage Enterprise Management solution. The solution exceeded Tudor Griffiths’ expectations.
