Southam Agricultural Case Study

Southam Agricultural Services is a family run company in the market town of Southam in rural Warwickshire.

Established in 1971, the company started out selling and servicing new and used farm machinery, but as the agricultural industry developed and changed, so too have Southam Agricultural.

The business still counts many in the local farming community as customers, but has branched out to handle ground care companies and arborists as well as traditional farm machinery.

“Although Sage 50 handled a degree of stock management, it was never going to be good enough for the  stage we were at as a growing business. We needed to shift up a gear.”

Project background

Alongside the sales, service and repair of machinery, Southam also run a shop for spare parts, sundries, accessories and work clothing/footwear.

Still in the hands of the original owners, Southam has adapted and changed to suit the changing needs of their customers all the while keeping pace with technology changes to make sure the company remains competitive.
